New Year's Eve in Ferrara has been synonymous with amazement and pure magic for over twenty years. An event that attracts more than 30,000 people from all over the world.
But let’s start from the beginning. We love our city so much that having a marvelous Castle in the center of town was not enough. To welcome the new millennium, we decided to let it become the star of a beautiful and breathtaking firework show. Since that unforgettable night between the last day of XX and the first one of XXI century, New Year's Eve in Ferrara and the Incendio del Castello (lit. the fire of the Castle) has become a traditional and not-to-miss appointment to celebrate the arrival of the New Year. It has now become a classic on the national news on New Year's Day and it also has been listed by Vanity Fair as one of the best open-air New Year's Eve parties in the world.
